Desert Landscape

One of my weaknesses when it comes to art is backgrounds. So I decided to use some photo references to try and study them and paint them. After that I will try to come up with my own backgrounds.

I decided to start with an easy one: The Desert. It does not have much detail, but it helps me to study colors for atmosphere. I'm not sure if the depth of this picture turned out alright, but I'm glad with the final result, even though I still need lots of practice.
